“Major Injury Boost for Mark Robins as Key Coventry Player Set to Be Fit for Leeds Clash”

Mark Robins has faced increasing pressure at Coventry City after a challenging start to the season, which has seen his side lose three of their opening six matches ahead of their upcoming clash against Leeds United at Elland Road.

“Ben’s trained all week and with every day that goes by he is closer to the team, so that’s a real positive and has been for a while,” Robins explained.

“Last week against Swansea, I felt we needed to make attacking changes after going two goals down quickly, which is why I didn’t bring him on.

Although I could have given him some minutes, I think he understood the decision. This week we’ve been able to do more work with him to get him closer to the team.”

While Sheaf’s return is encouraging for Coventry, Robins also had to deliver some unfortunate news regarding another midfielder, Jamie Allen.

Allen was substituted after just 24 minutes in the Swansea match, and Robins revealed that Allen had suffered a medial collateral ligament injury, ruling him out for an extended period.

“Jamie has a medial collateral ligament injury and will be out for a significant amount of time, probably eight to ten weeks,” Robins said. “It’s a setback for Jamie as well as us.

He’s had a tough year with various issues, and when something happens to him, it’s never minor. He doesn’t do anything by halves.”

As Coventry prepares for the challenge at Elland Road, the team will have to adjust to Allen’s absence while hoping Sheaf can make a timely return to action.
