“ExWHUemployee: West Ham Forward to Miss Ipswich Clash with Potential Return on the Horizon”

"Niclas Fullkrug to Miss West Ham's Clash with Ipswich Town Due to Ongoing Injury, Reports ExWHUemployee"

On 2 October, a Hammers insider reported that Germany international Niclas Fullkrug is likely to miss the London Stadium clash against Ipswich Town on Saturday, 5 October.

Since joining from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, Fullkrug has played just 63 minutes, with his return from injury taking “longer than expected.”

The club now expects him back after the upcoming international break.

Fullkrug’s arrival at West Ham generated excitement, following a strong performance for Germany at the EUROs.

However, injuries have hindered his progress, and he hasn’t made a significant impact at the club so far.

Manager Julen Lopetegui has been cautious about easing Fullkrug into the starting XI, but this injury setback may delay his plans even further.

The striker will now need ample time to fully recover and regain his fitness before returning to Premier League action.

In Fullkrug’s absence, West Ham will turn to Danny Ings and Michail Antonio for the upcoming fixture against Ipswich.

The newly promoted side won’t be an easy opponent, and the duo must capitalize on any opportunities they get if Lopetegui hopes to end the club’s three-game winless streak in the league.
