‘Unacceptable’ – Broadcaster slams Tottenham after ‘inexplicable’ chain of events
Ian Darke says Tottenham's collapse at Brighton was "inexplicable," but their opening fixture result against Leicester City was even more baffling.
Tottenham Hotspur face frustration over the international break after a shocking second-half collapse handed Brighton all three points at the Amex Stadium.
Ange Postecoglou’s side appeared to be in control before the break, but commentator Ian Darke noted that their recent draw against Leicester was even more “extraordinary,” considering how dominant Spurs were.
“Whether it was complacency or something else, it’s unacceptable and inexplicable,” Darke told Tottenham News. “Surely, they’re professional enough to close the game out.”
He added, “This seems to be part of Tottenham’s DNA.
The Leicester game was perhaps even more remarkable.
Spurs were so dominant they should have been 6-0 up at halftime, but to end up with a 1-1 draw? It’s amazing they didn’t win.”
Tottenham’s Struggles with Dropping Points
