Buonanotte, Daka, Choudhury – Leicester City Injury and Availability Update Ahead of Southampton Clash

Leicester City are anxiously awaiting the availability of Facundo Buonanotte for their match against Southampton, as the attacking midfielder is likely to return late from international duty.

Buonanotte is currently in South America representing Argentina, having been called up as an injury replacement.

Argentina will host Bolivia in their final World Cup qualifier of the international break, with a UK kick-off time of 1 a.m. on Wednesday.

Following the game, Buonanotte will face a long-haul flight and will require a rest day, leaving him with just one day of training before City’s crucial fixture against Southampton.

City are eager to have him available, especially after his match-winning performance against Bournemouth, but there are concerns over his fitness after extensive travel.

Steve Cooper has expressed doubts about playing certain players after international duty in the past.

So far, none of the 13 senior City players away on international duty have reported injuries.

The club also benefits from the early return of Victor Kristiansen, who is suspended for Denmark’s second game, allowing him extra rest ahead of the Southampton clash.
