He called the idea “good banter” and noted that having a high-profile manager like Mourinho would be a compliment for the Hammers.

This speculation comes as Julen Lopetegui, who took over at West Ham this summer, has faced challenges with the team.

Many West Ham fans may already be hoping for a change, especially if the club continues to struggle under Lopetegui’s leadership.

O’Hara had mixed feelings on the matter. While he warned West Ham supporters that Mourinho’s appointment could bring upheaval—predicting the club could “implode”—he admitted he’d personally enjoy seeing Mourinho at the London Stadium. As he told talkSPORT, “It’d be good fun.

West Ham have had some memorable moments; they’ve won a trophy. Bringing in Mourinho would signal that you’re aiming to be a big club.”

O’Hara emphasized that Mourinho wouldn’t likely join a club like Wolves or Brentford, suggesting that a move to West Ham would validate their ambitions.

“I’d love him there,” he added. “It’d be good banter, wouldn’t it? Jose, I love him, I miss him.”

While Mourinho’s presence brings undeniable excitement to any club he manages, it’s uncertain if he would leave Fenerbahce so soon.

The 61-year-old has only recently joined the Turkish club and led them in 19 games, winning 11 of those. Whether he’ll be enticed back to the Premier League remains to be seen.
