“‘Biggest Myth’ – Pundit Debunks Claims About ‘Incredible’ Everton Star”
"Andros Townsend Dismisses 'Myth' That Jordan Pickford Performs Better for England Than Everton"

This season, Jordan Pickford has once again proven to be one of Everton’s most reliable performers, continuing a legacy of consistency at Goodison Park over several years.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club Podcast, with quotes shared on the BBC Sport website (19 November), Andros Townsend refuted claims that Pickford performs better for England than for his club.
“The biggest myth in football is that Pickford only plays well for England and never for Everton,” Townsend said.
“One of the main reasons Everton are still in the Premier League is Jordan Pickford.
Time and time again, his saves and performances have been incredible.
“I’m glad he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves for England, but I wish he’d get the same credit for what he’s done in an Everton shirt.”
Everton Must Hold Onto Pickford
Without Pickford, Everton would likely be in a far worse position this season.
A poor start to the campaign raised doubts among fans about Sean Dyche’s ability to lead the team.

While concerns about his long-term suitability remain, results have shown some improvement, even if performances haven’t always impressed.
Pickford remains one of Everton’s standout players. His critical save in the closing moments of their 0-0 draw with West Ham United on 9 November ensured the team left the London Stadium with a vital point.
Without him, that effort might have gone unrewarded.
Although there haven’t been recent transfer rumors surrounding Pickford, his current form makes it hard to imagine clubs not taking an interest.
If he maintains this level of performance, it seems only a matter of time before other teams start vying for his signature. Everton must prioritize retaining him for as long as possible.
