Dog Walker Reveals Michail Antonio’s First Words After Terrifying Crash

West Ham's Michail Antonio Suffers Lower-Limb Fracture in Serious Ferrari Crash

West Ham United forward Michail Antonio found himself in a state of disorientation after being involved in a severe accident in his Ferrari on Saturday afternoon.

The 34-year-old sustained a lower-limb fracture and underwent surgery at a London hospital following the crash in Essex.

Antonio remained trapped in his £260,000 Ferrari for nearly an hour before being freed by rescuers and airlifted to the hospital.

The accident took place on Coppice Row, near the edge of Epping Forest.

A nearby dog walker, Samuel Woods, 34, who came across the aftermath, described the harrowing scene to The Sun.

“I said ‘hello’ to check if anyone was alive,” Woods recalled. “I heard sirens and reassured him help was on the way.

He was completely disoriented and kept asking, ‘Where am I? What’s going on? What car am I in?’ The paramedics arrived quickly, but the situation was shocking.

The car smelled of petrol, and I thought, ‘He’s in serious trouble.’ He didn’t say much—just looked around, confused. He was sitting on the passenger side.”

West Ham United released a statement on Sunday afternoon confirming Antonio’s condition and expressing gratitude to emergency responders.

“West Ham United can confirm Michail Antonio has undergone surgery on a lower-limb fracture following a road traffic accident on Saturday afternoon.

He will remain in hospital for further monitoring in the coming days.

“The Club extends its heartfelt thanks to the emergency services, first responders, and medical teams aiding Michail’s recovery.

We are deeply moved by the support from the football family and will provide updates when appropriate. Everyone at the Club wishes Michail a speedy recovery.”

The police are investigating the crash and have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Antonio’s ex-wife, Debbie Whittle, rushed to his side upon hearing the news.

Meanwhile, the football community has rallied around the West Ham star, offering messages of support.

As West Ham’s all-time leading Premier League scorer, Antonio has been a key figure for the team since joining in 2015.

Fans and teammates alike are hopeful for his swift recovery as he begins his rehabilitation journey.
