The Englishman has been a strong addition to Julen Lopetegui’s squad this season after arriving in a £40million move from Wolves [BBC Sport].
Once again, he proved pivotal during the clash at the Vitality Stadium on 16 December.
Partnering with Konstantinos Mavropanos, Lopetegui would have been pleased with the defensive performance, at least until Lucas Paqueta and Enes Unal scored in the final five minutes.

Max Kilman continues to lead by example for West Ham despite Jarrod Bowen officially wearing the captain’s armband.
Since his summer arrival, Kilman has stood out as a leader at the London Stadium.
Although he has just one assist to his name, the centre-back remains a threat in the final third and could contribute more goals and assists.
Defence has been a major concern for the Hammers this season, echoing issues from David Moyes’ tenure, with goals consistently leaking in.
Notably, only four Premier League sides have conceded more goals this term, exposing weaknesses under Lopetegui.
However, Kilman cannot bear sole responsibility for these shortcomings.
Instead, his commitment and willingness to put his body on the line should inspire his teammates to follow suit.
If West Ham are to turn their fortunes around, his leadership qualities will be essential.
Kilman has the potential to become a future leader at the club if he continues to perform and develop.
However, strengthening the centre-back position might be a priority for the next two transfer windows, as Lopetegui looks to solidify his team’s defence.
