James Justin silenced critics in the “perfect way” by scoring twice to help Leicester City secure a dominant 6-2 victory over QPR.

The right-back’s form has been a major talking point this season, with his costly error in last weekend’s 2-1 loss to Aston Villa drawing significant criticism.

A viral video highlighting his supposed mistakes only added to the scrutiny.

With Ricardo Pereira sidelined by injury, Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has relied on Justin, starting him in all eight matches since taking charge.

Following Justin’s standout display against QPR, van Nistelrooy expressed his satisfaction—not just because of the goals but also for his overall contribution.

Justin’s first goal came from an alert reaction to a loose ball, while his second was a superb first-time finish.

His defensive work and composure on the ball also impressed.

“JJ faced criticism and responded in the best way possible—not only by scoring two goals but also through an excellent performance both on and off the ball,” van Nistelrooy said in his post-match press conference. “He deserves this recognition.

Despite his strong performance, Justin’s starting role could soon face competition.

Leicester is reportedly in talks with Parma over French right-back Woyo Coulibaly, who might become van Nistelrooy’s first signing.

However, the manager remained tight-lipped, stating he would only comment on transfers once they were “1,000 percent” finalized.

Coulibaly, whose contract with Parma expires this summer, could be a cost-effective acquisition.

The 24-year-old has been with Parma for four years, recently making his Serie A debut after being signed from Le Havre by Enzo Maresca in 2021.

If the deal materializes, it may add depth and competition to Leicester’s right-back position.
