“Unbelievable” – Carragher Left Stunned by Everton vs Tottenham Incident, Criticizes “Really Poor” Blues Player

Jamie Carragher Criticizes Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin for "Really Poor" Moment in Premier League Match Against Tottenham

While the attacker may have opened the scoring for Everton, the former Liverpool player didn’t hold back in criticizing the striker for his poor touch and finish when he had a one-on-one with Antonin Kinsky after 25 minutes.

Speaking live on Sky Sports Premier League (19 January, 14:25pm), Carragher expressed his frustration, saying, “I mean, the touch, the finish was really poor.

The defensive line for Tottenham was absolutely unbelievable. I mean, what are they doing?”

From the outset of the game, it was evident that Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a new drive.

The 2024/25 season has been difficult for Everton, with many considering them one of the worst teams in the Premier League.

Although they aren’t currently in the bottom three, their performance has been underwhelming, especially considering their squad’s potential.

Everton may not have the strongest team in the league, but with the talent they possess, they should at least be clear of the relegation zone.

Last season was one of the hardest in Everton’s history, marked by two point deductions for breaches of the Premier League’s PSR regulations.

Despite this, the current situation seems even worse than last season, highlighting their struggles.

For Everton to retain their Premier League status, they need Calvert-Lewin to maintain his form and stop missing easy opportunities, as has been the case for much of the season.

If he doesn’t, Everton may find themselves in even greater danger of relegation.
