They reported, “The need for strengthening via the transfer market in this period is imperative, but concerns over breaching profitability and sustainability rules linger and have hampered Leicester’s planning.”
Although Leicester avoided Premier League sanctions following the release of their 2023/24 accounts, they could still face PSR challenges with both the English top flight and the EFL in the future.
Leicester City Exploring New Signings
With less than two weeks remaining in the winter transfer window, Leicester still has the opportunity to strengthen their squad.
Addressing their defensive frailties is a priority, and on Thursday, reports emerged that the club has inquired about AC Milan’s Strahinja Pavlovic.
The 23-year-old center-back would be a significant upgrade for Leicester’s struggling defense, which ranks among the worst in the league.
While Pavlovic’s price tag remains unclear, the recent £10 million sale of Tom Cannon to Sheffield United could provide Leicester with the financial flexibility to pursue the Serbian defender.
