Report: Sullivan initiates talks to bring ex-Arsenal and Liverpool star back to the Premier League.

Former Arsenal and Liverpool star emerges as a key target for West Ham United.

West Ham are expected to be very active in the January transfer window, with Graham Potter reportedly looking to bring a former Arsenal and Liverpool star back to the Premier League.

Hammers fans are eager for new signings at the London Stadium before Monday’s deadline.

With Kyle Macaulay now overseeing recruitment, the club’s transfer activity is expected to accelerate.

Strengthening the squad is an urgent priority for Potter.

Carney Chukwuemeka, Evan Ferguson, and Brian Brobbey are all rumored targets.

However, the latest name linked with West Ham has left many unimpressed.

West Ham Contact Besiktas Over Oxlade-Chamberlain

Besiktas midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has reportedly caught West Ham’s interest.

According to Sozcu, the club has reached out to the Turkish side regarding a potential loan deal for the 31-year-old until the end of the season.

This move, however, would be a poor decision for the Hammers.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has a worrying injury history, having missed a staggering 698 days since the 2017/18 season, per Transfermarkt.

At 31, his fitness is unlikely to improve—if anything, it may decline further.

At his peak, he was a dynamic, powerful player who won both the Premier League and Champions League with Liverpool.

However, West Ham must prioritize a top-class striker and a dominant central midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Oxlade-Chamberlain simply shouldn’t be a target. Signing him would be a major mistake for the club.
