Everton’s Move for Patson Daka Depends on Leicester City’s Plans as Striker Updates Surface
Leicester City Transfer Update: Everton’s Interest in Patson Daka, Plus the Latest on Chuba Akpom and Odsonne Edouard

Everton are reportedly considering Leicester City’s Patson Daka as they search for a new striker before the transfer window closes.
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin suffering another injury, Everton have prioritized signing a forward in the final days of the window, according to The i Paper.
Brighton’s Evan Ferguson and Leicester’s Daka are mentioned as potential targets.
Reports suggest Leicester would entertain offers for Daka due to concerns over Profit and Sustainability Rules.
However, it would be surprising if they let him leave without securing a replacement.

Since Ruud van Nistelrooy took charge, Daka has been Jamie Vardy’s primary backup, playing in all but one of the Dutchman’s 11 games in charge.
Van Nistelrooy had previously scouted Daka extensively while managing PSV Eindhoven and was familiar with his abilities before arriving at Leicester.
Leicester have already offloaded one striker this month, selling Tom Cannon to Sheffield United for £10 million.
They were also looking to move Odsonne Edouard, currently on loan from Crystal Palace, to free up another Premier League loan slot.
However, Edouard has yet to play a single minute under Van Nistelrooy.
While Vardy, now 38, has been playing more minutes than expected, relying on him to complete full matches every week across all competitions is not ideal. Leicester need a reliable backup striker.
Although Daka’s ability at the Premier League level remains uncertain, his pace and energy offer a valuable asset.
Leicester Exit Akpom Race
Leicester had been linked with Ajax striker Chuba Akpom as a potential attacking reinforcement.
Akpom, who was the Championship’s top scorer with Middlesbrough two seasons ago, is set to leave the Dutch club.
However, according to De Telegraaf, which initially reported Leicester’s interest, the club has now dropped out of the race.
Akpom is reportedly choosing between Fiorentina, Lille, and Sunderland.
