Tottenham to Target 24-Year-Old Centre-Back This Summer, Says Fabrizio Romano
Fabrizio Romano Predicts Tottenham Will Revive Interest in Premier League Defender After Failed January Bid

Tottenham’s Failed Bid for Marc Guehi
Tottenham bolstered their defense in January by signing Kevin Danso from Lens but also attempted a late move for another center-back before the transfer window closed.
Reports revealed that Spurs submitted a £70m bid for Marc Guehi, but Crystal Palace swiftly rejected the offer, unwilling to part with a key player so late in the window.
Despite this setback, sources indicate that Tottenham remain interested in the England international and will likely pursue him again in the summer as they seek further defensive reinforcements.
Fierce Competition for Guehi’s Signature

Spurs aren’t the only club eyeing Guehi. Recent reports suggest Chelsea are keen on re-signing their former academy graduate and believe they have the upper hand over Tottenham in securing his signature.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that Guehi is indeed on Ange Postecoglou’s radar and hinted at a potential summer departure from Selhurst Park.
When asked about Spurs’ interest, Romano told GiveMeSport:
“Yes, he will be on Spurs’ and other clubs’ lists for sure. He has a contract until June 2026, so a summer move is a strong possibility.”
Crystal Palace’s Stance on Guehi

Romano’s update aligns with a recent Football Insider report, which claims Palace are already preparing for Guehi’s departure.
With the defender entering the final year of his contract in June and refusing to sign a new deal, Palace reportedly plan to cash in on him rather than risk losing him for free later.
The report also states that Oliver Glasner’s side has started searching for replacements, expecting significant interest from multiple clubs in the summer.
Given the competition from Chelsea and other top clubs, Tottenham will likely face a tough battle if they reignite their pursuit of Guehi in the next transfer window.
