“Kasper is now in Scotland, I’m here, and the third keeper, [Frederik] Rønnow, is in Germany. We all listen to each other and have different experiences, cultures, and approaches to goalkeeping,” he said.

“We continue to push each other to improve every day with the national team, and that’s what we’ll keep doing.

“It’s not just a dream; it’s one of my biggest goals. I work hard every day and try to prove in every game that I belong in the national team and can take the step to becoming No.1.”

Mark Schwarzer Impressed by Hermansen’s Heroics Against Chelsea

Despite Leicester’s 1-0 defeat to Chelsea, Hermansen delivered a performance that strengthened his case for Denmark’s top goalkeeping spot.

One of the standout moments came when he saved a penalty from Cole Palmer, ending the Englishman’s perfect record from the spot. Former Premier League goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer was left impressed by the quality of the save.

“It’s a brilliant save from Mads Hermansen. He waits until the last second. Cole Palmer hit it with power, and it’s a really great save,” Schwarzer remarked.

Hermansen’s strong display was much needed after a difficult few weeks, during which he conceded 12 goals across four matches.
