Agent of ‘spectacular’ 23-year-old striker confirms West Ham have submitted a formal offer.

Alberto’s agent, André Cury, recently spoke to Ge Globo about his client’s future, confirming that the Hammers have made an offer:

“Our job is to take the proposal to the club. We have already had offers from Wolverhampton, West Ham, Betis, as well as clubs in Spain and Italy.

Every player in South America dreams of playing in Europe, and Yuri is no different. If a good opportunity arises that benefits both him and the club, we will talk.”

David Sullivan’s Role in the Transfer

It is well known that West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has taken a more hands-on approach to transfers following several disappointing signings in recent years.

The club’s continued pursuit of Alberto—dating back to 2022—suggests Sullivan is playing a key role in the negotiations.

While the 23-year-old may not be the most high-profile name, he is certainly a talented striker.

His former Internacional coach, David Aguirre, has praised him as a “spectacular” player (Torcedores).

However, one potential concern is Alberto’s lack of Premier League experience.

His brief stint in European football with Zenit Saint Petersburg saw him make just 15 appearances, although he did manage to score six goals and register four assists during that time.
