Tottenham Hotspur Target Midfield and Left-Back Reinforcements Ahead of Next Season

Tottenham Hotspur’s 2024/25 season has been disappointing, with the Europa League providing their only real hope for success.

As a result, focus is already shifting toward strengthening the squad for the next campaign.

Midfield is reportedly Spurs’ top priority, which makes sense given the underwhelming performances of Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur.

Both players were among the lowest-rated in Spurs’ season rankings, highlighting the need for reinforcements in that area.

Spurs Join Race for Rayan Ait-Nouri

However, midfield is not the only position Tottenham are looking to strengthen.

According to Football Insider, the club has entered the race to sign Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri, joining Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United in pursuit of the 23-year-old.

Ait-Nouri’s contract situation makes him an attractive target, as he will have just one year remaining on his current deal by June.

Left-Back Concerns Push Tottenham Toward Transfer Move

Spurs’ growing interest in a new left-back stems from concerns over Destiny Udogie’s recent dip in form, which has seen him lose his starting place.

Djed Spence has been used as cover, but as a natural right-back, his deployment on the left has been far from ideal.

With Wolves reportedly open to selling Ait-Nouri for £40 million, Tottenham could make their move soon.

Sources suggest that Wolves may struggle to retain the Algerian international beyond this season, especially given their struggles in the league.
