Fitts, who was part of the trade involving Alex Verdugo, is ranked as Boston’s 11th prospect.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 230 pounds, the 24-year-old right-hander possesses impressive control. He posted a 3.48 ERA over 27 starts, covering 152 ⅔ innings for the Yankees’ Double-A affiliate, Somerset, in the previous season.
