“Revealed: When Jeremy Monga Can Sign a Pro Contract with Leicester City”

"Leicester City’s Youth Academy Boasts Talent, but Jeremy Monga Stands Out"

Jeremy Monga, 15, is widely regarded as Leicester City’s most promising academy talent in years, having already excelled at both Under-18 and Under-23 levels.

Beyond his success with the Foxes, Monga has also shone for England’s youth teams, often captaining the side and scoring key goals.

His performances have caught the attention of Europe’s elite clubs, but Leicester fans remain hopeful the club can secure him on a long-term deal and persuade him to stay at the King Power Stadium.

When Can Jeremy Monga Sign a Professional Contract?

FA regulations prevent Monga from signing a professional contract until he turns 17. For him, that means waiting until at least July 2026 before committing to a full-time deal.

In the meantime, he balances football with his education while regularly training with Leicester’s first team, following an invitation from Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Although he has yet to make his senior debut, he was named on the bench in the FA Cup against Manchester United.

Could Monga Be Signed by Another Club?

Despite being unable to sign a pro deal until 17, Monga remains at risk of being lured away by other clubs.

According to the Daily Mail, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester City are all closely monitoring his situation.

Due to his age, Monga would need to formally notify Leicester by June this year if he wishes to leave. In that case, a transfer fee would be determined through a tribunal.

For now, Leicester will be eager to convince their rising star to stay, but with Europe’s biggest clubs circling, the battle for Monga’s future is far from over.
