Revealed: Everton informed £30m offer for Moyes’ top target could be accepted
Everton could secure Liverpool’s teenage star Ben Doak for £30 million this summer, sources reveal.
A move to Everton for Liverpool’s young talent Ben Doak would be unexpected, but Toffees manager David Moyes is a keen admirer of the 19-year-old.
Moyes has monitored Doak’s development since his time at Celtic and subsequent transfer to Liverpool.
On 31 March, Football Insider reported that Liverpool may consider selling the Scottish international for a significant fee to bolster their summer transfer budget.
Everton could secure Doak for £30 million
In January, Crystal Palace submitted bids for Doak, while Bournemouth also expressed interest. Everton may now enter the race for his signature.
Currently on loan at Middlesbrough, the teenager has been sidelined since February due to injury.
Despite this setback, he has contributed three goals and seven assists in 24 Championship appearances. Before that, he featured 12 times for Celtic and Liverpool at the senior level.
Last year, Doak played in all six of Scotland’s Nations League matches before his injury.
Everton could sign Belgium international for £20m
Meanwhile, Football Insider (30 March) revealed that Serie A side Genoa is open to selling Koni De Winter this summer, attracting interest from Everton and other Premier League clubs.
With Michael Keane’s contract expiring in June, Everton is expected to seek defensive reinforcements, regardless of whether Jarrad Branthwaite departs for a significant fee.
Genoa is reportedly willing to accept a bid between £20 million and £25 million for the Belgian defender, making him a viable target for Everton’s summer recruitment.
