Expert Claims Richarlison ‘Certain’ to Exit Tottenham as Everton Talks Progress

Mick Brown, a former chief scout at Manchester United and Blackburn, and someone still deeply connected within those clubs, has told Football Insider that 27-year-old Richarlison is now “certain” to depart Tottenham this summer.

Everton are among the clubs exploring the possibility of re-signing the Brazilian forward, who remains highly admired by the Toffees despite his departure from Goodison Park in 2022.

Brown also revealed that David Moyes will be holding internal discussions regarding Richarlison as West Ham consider whether a move for the player could be viable.

Richarlison has also been strongly linked with a switch to the Saudi Pro League.

As Football Insider reported back in January, the Brazilian forward is eager to leave Spurs, and a move to Saudi Arabia is on his radar.

However, he is also open to returning to Everton if the two clubs can agree on terms.

Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson shared similar sentiments with Football Insider in February, stating that Richarlison is preparing to leave the club when the summer window opens.

Brown, whose extensive experience in elite-level recruitment includes a decade at Manchester United during their most dominant years, reinforced this notion.

“Richarlison will certainly be leaving Tottenham this summer,” he told Football Insider.

“Yes, he’s dealt with injuries, but even when fit, he hasn’t performed to the level expected. He’s not in their future plans.”

He added, “Spurs view him as a sellable asset – someone they can move on to free up squad space and generate funds.

From what I understand, Everton still rate him very highly.”

Brown continued, “They’ve been monitoring his situation and believe he could strengthen their team.

So if Everton come in with an offer, Tottenham would definitely consider it, and I think Richarlison would too.”

Meanwhile, Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is already preparing for an active summer transfer window, with several changes expected.

Richarlison isn’t the only player who could leave the club in the coming months.

A number of senior players are facing uncertain futures after what has been a disappointing season.

Brown also shared with Football Insider last month that Spurs are open to offers for midfielder Yves Bissouma, who no longer appears to be in Postecoglou’s long-term plans.

As reported on 3 March, Football Insider revealed that Tottenham are preparing to hold “crunch talks” with Bissouma regarding his future at the club.

The Mali international will enter the final 12 months of his current deal this summer, and, so far, there have been no discussions about a contract extension.
