Juventus are reportedly exploring a player-plus-cash deal to sign Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United, with Tuttosport suggesting Dusan Vlahovic or Douglas Luiz could be included in the swap.
Tonali has emerged as a top target for the Bianconeri ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window, as growing reports link the Italian midfielder with a return to Serie A.
CaughtOffside reported that Newcastle are not keen on selling Tonali, but a bid of around €80 million might persuade the Premier League side to reconsider.
Tuttosport, however, claims Tonali’s valuation is closer to €70 million—still a fee Juventus would struggle to afford outright.
To bridge the financial gap, Juventus are considering offering players in exchange to reduce the overall price.
Douglas Luiz, who joined from Aston Villa, is one option. The Brazilian has had an injury-plagued season in Turin and has yet to justify his €50 million price tag.
Another possible candidate is Dusan Vlahovic, Juventus’ top scorer this season.
Despite his on-field impact, Vlahovic has declined to renew his contract beyond 2026, prompting the club to consider selling him this summer to avoid the risk of losing him on a free transfer the following year.
