Todd Boehly, who owns a majority stake in Strasbourg through his company BlueCo, could be involved in a move for Joseph, with any transfer funds coming from his investment.
Selling Joseph would help Leeds’ PSR situation significantly. Given Betis’ prior interest and willingness to pay an eight-figure fee, Leeds are in a strong position to negotiate.
The club also needs to reinvest in attacking options, making Joseph’s potential sale even more logical.
Joseph appears set to drop further down the pecking order next season. Compared to key players like Gnonto and vice-captain Struijk, who are vital to Daniel Farke’s system, Joseph is more expendable.
Cashing in on him would preserve the core of the squad while still generating significant funds.
If Strasbourg meets Leeds’ valuation of £12.75 million, the transfer would be a smart move for all parties—providing Leeds with a healthy profit on a player unlikely to feature prominently next season.
