“TOTAL SHOCKER: Tottenham’s TOP-SECRET Plan to Snag ‘ABSOLUTE SUPERSTAR’ as Mbeumo’s JAW-DROPPING Replacement!”

Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to shift their focus to Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo if their move for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo fails, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Despite finishing 17th in the Premier League last season, Spurs have money to spend, thanks to their Europa League final win over Manchester United, which secured them a spot in next season’s Champions League.

New head coach Thomas Frank is eager to bring Mbeumo to North London, potentially reuniting with the Cameroonian international. However, Brentford are unwilling to let the forward go without receiving a substantial transfer fee.

Jacobs told Last Word On Spurs that Semenyo is viewed as the top alternative target for Spurs if they can’t land Mbeumo.

“There’s big interest in Semenyo,” Jacobs said. “I’d go so far as to say, if Mbeumo doesn’t come off, Semenyo is the number one choice.”

Mbeumo has reportedly approved a move to Manchester United, but Spurs attempted to hijack the deal last week with a £70 million bid.

While Old Trafford remains his preferred destination, Mbeumo is said to be intrigued by the idea of joining Tottenham and reuniting with Frank.

If Brentford refuse to negotiate, Tottenham may fully pivot to Semenyo. The 25-year-old Ghanaian impressed with Bournemouth last season, scoring 13 goals and providing six assists across 42 matches in all competitions. His performances earned widespread praise, with some calling him an “absolute star.”

However, Bournemouth are keen to retain Semenyo, and manager Andoni Iraola is reportedly unwilling to sell.

According to sources at GIVEMESPORT, the Cherries would demand a fee in the region of £65 million to consider letting him go.

As the transfer window progresses, Spurs are expected to press on with one of these two targets as they aim to strengthen their attacking options under their new manager.
