Leicester City Announce Contract Extensions for Nine Players Ahead of 2025/26 Season

Leicester City have announced a series of squad updates ahead of the new season, as confirmed in an official club press release shared with WSL Full-Time.

The club revealed that Janice Cayman, Missy Goodwin, Janina Leitzig, Julie Thibaud, Sam Tierney, Hannah Cain, Shannon O’Brien, Simone Sherwood, and Nelly Las have all signed new contracts.

Meanwhile, discussions are ongoing with several other players as the team continues its preparations for the 2024/25 campaign.

On the departures front, Lena Petermann, Saori Takarada, and Yuka Momiki had already been confirmed to be leaving earlier this summer.

The club have now also announced that CJ Bott, Courtney Nevin, and Deanne Rose will not be returning.

The previous season was a challenging one for Leicester City under new manager Amandine Miquel, who joined with a strong reputation.

However, her side struggled with a lengthy injury crisis, particularly among the forwards, which hampered their progress.

Despite this, the team rallied toward the end of the campaign as injuries eased and managed to secure their highest-ever points tally in the top flight with 20 points.

The Foxes are now aiming to build on that momentum and push for further improvement in the new season.
