Daniel Levy Set to Ramp Up Pressure on Nottingham Forest in Pursuit of Morgan Gibbs-White
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy appears prepared to play the long game in negotiations with Nottingham Forest, as the pursuit of Morgan Gibbs-White enters its second week.
The Forest midfielder is believed to be open to the move, and Levy is determined to get the deal over the line.

Wissa Links Could Be Tactical Move to Pressure Forest
Tottenham have maintained interest in Brentford forward Yoane Wissa throughout the window and are reportedly edging closer to securing his signature.
According to Alex Cook (17 July), Newcastle have also shortlisted Wissa after Hugo Ekitike expressed a preference to join Liverpool.
However, the Congolese international would favour a reunion with former boss Thomas Frank at Spurs.
This has led to speculation that Levy might act quickly to land Wissa this summer. Still, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham, speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, believes Spurs may be using Wissa’s name strategically to pressure Forest.
“I think the renewed talk about Wissa is more about increasing pressure on Nottingham Forest than genuinely moving for the player,” said Wenham.
“We’re already well-stocked in wide areas, and I think we’d need to move some players on before bringing in another winger—especially since Mohammed Kudus and Mathys Tel have already arrived permanently.”
Wissa Still Worth Signing
Regardless of the Gibbs-White situation, Tottenham should still consider signing Wissa this summer.
Having previously played under Frank at Brentford, Wissa already understands the manager’s style and would likely settle quickly in North London. That familiarity could prove crucial during Frank’s early tenure.
Wissa’s output last season was impressive—netting 20 goals and contributing five assists. With creative talents like James Maddison, and potentially Gibbs-White, supporting him, Wissa’s numbers could improve even further.
Given his proven record under Frank and the potential for growth, signing Wissa for a reasonable fee could be a smart piece of business for Spurs.
