“Leeds Star’s SHOCKING Late-Night Training Camp Arrival Sparks MASSIVE Transfer Bombshell – You Won’t Believe Who’s Next!”

Leeds United Targeting a New First-Choice Goalkeeper to Replace Struggling Illan Meslier

Lyon goalkeeper Lucas Perri appears to be Leeds United’s top priority, with ongoing efforts to finalise his move to Elland Road.

The 27-year-old Brazilian shot-stopper arrived at the Whites’ training camp on Thursday, 24 July, and is expected to undergo his medical on Friday, according to The Athletic’s Beren Cross.

Leeds had previously considered Torino’s Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, but he now seems bound for Napoli.

With that option off the table, attention has firmly shifted to Perri, whose transfer is believed to be in its final stages.

It’s already been a busy transfer window for Leeds, who have added several new faces.

Lukas Nmecha was the first arrival, followed by Sebastiaan Bornauw, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sean Longstaff, Jaka Bijol, and Anton Stach. Perri is expected to be the next addition to Daniel Farke’s evolving squad.

The acquisition of Perri is seen as a major boost to Leeds’ hopes of avoiding relegation in the 2025/26 Premier League season.

The former Lyon man kept 10 clean sheets in 33 Ligue 1 appearances and outperformed his expected goals conceded by 3.8—highlighting his reliability between the sticks.

He posted an impressive 74.7% save percentage and is known for his sharp reflexes and solid distribution.

Standing at 6ft 5in, Perri offers a commanding presence in goal—something Leeds lacked last season due to Illan Meslier’s inconsistent performances.

With Farke making a dependable goalkeeper a priority, Perri’s arrival brings much-needed composure and experience.

His presence is expected to enhance Leeds’ defensive structure, improve confidence at the back, and significantly strengthen their chances of maintaining Premier League status.
