talkSPORT reports that West Ham United have renewed their efforts to sign Leicester City goalkeeper Mads Hermansen this summer.
West Ham United have placed signing a new goalkeeper high on their summer agenda after the departure of veteran Łukasz Fabiański.
The club have been linked with multiple targets and are understood to have reached a ‘verbal agreement’ to bring in John Victor from Botafogo.
Despite this, the Hammers remain keen on Leicester City’s Mads Hermansen, raising the possibility of adding two new goalkeepers.
According to talkSPORT, the East London side are making a “fresh push” to secure the Denmark international’s signature before the window closes.
The interest is partly fuelled by new goalkeeping coach Casper Ankergren, who previously worked with Hermansen at Brøndby. It’s no surprise that the coaching staff are prioritising his arrival.
Reports indicate personal terms for the 25-year-old have already been agreed, with West Ham reopening talks with Leicester to finalise a fee.
While the exact figures have not been disclosed, the deal is expected to exceed Hermansen’s £13m Transfermarkt valuation, particularly with three years remaining on his contract.
