Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Everton are set to make major strides in their pursuit of a key transfer target within the “next 24 hours,” as the Merseyside club look to strengthen further before the close of the window.
Grealish shines on Everton debut

With momentum now building, Moyes and the board are focused on further reinforcements before the window slams shut next Monday, with the Scot continuing to prove his ability to maximise output from a limited squad.
Everton close in on Dibling deal
According to Romano’s update on X, Everton are on the verge of landing one of the most exciting young prospects in English football.
Talks over Tyler Dibling have reached a breakthrough stage, and the teenager is expected to undergo a medical very soon.
The 19-year-old Southampton talent is seen as a potential gem, capable of adding more creativity and attacking spark to Everton’s evolving squad.
His arrival would continue a summer of intelligent recruitment, following the signings of Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Primarily operating off the right wing, Dibling loves to cut inside on his stronger left foot. Southampton’s academy chief Andy Goldie has already labelled him a future star:
“Players in that role often play it safe, but Tyler is different – his first thought is always: ‘How quickly can I get towards goal?’
He’s already scored a few, and once he fully sharpens that part of his game, you’re talking about a potential world-class player.”
While Grealish represents an immediate boost, he turns 30 next month and is more of a short-term signing.
In contrast, Dibling offers a long-term investment, with the chance to grow into a leading figure at Goodison Park’s successor venue.
For Moyes, the challenge will be nurturing that raw ability into consistent Premier League quality.
Judging by Romano’s update, though, it seems only a matter of when rather than if Dibling becomes an Everton player.
