Orlando City are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison next summer, according to GIVEMESPORT’s senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano.
The MLS side, led by sporting director Ricardo Moreira, have already held direct talks in London with the Brazilian’s representatives in recent days, during which they presented their long-term project.
Although no formal bid has yet been submitted to either Tottenham or the player, Orlando have made their intentions clear and are keen to bring Richarlison to the United States after the current season.
However, negotiations are expected to be difficult, as Tottenham consider the forward an important member of Thomas Frank’s squad and are not open to discussing a transfer at this stage.
The club could reassess the situation next summer, when Richarlison will be entering the final 12 months of his contract.
According to Romano, Orlando’s interest is serious, with plans being drawn up for a potential move in 2026.
Talks between both parties have already taken place in London, signalling the club’s determination to secure a high-profile signing.
Richarlison has been a key figure for Spurs this season, registering 11 appearances across all competitions.
He has scored three goals and provided one assist in the Premier League, making him the team’s top scorer so far.
The Brazilian netted twice in the 3-0 victory over Burnley on the opening weekend and added another goal in the 2-2 draw with Brighton last month.
The 27-year-old, who earns around £130,000 per week, joined Tottenham from Everton in 2022 and has since made 101 appearances for the North London club, scoring 23 goals and assisting 11 more.
He also played a crucial role in Spurs’ 1-0 victory over Manchester United in last season’s Europa League final — a win that ended the club’s 17-year trophy drought.
