“Ex-Leicester City Star’s SHOCKING Takedown of Ruud van Nistelrooy—Explosive Secrets of Their Feud Revealed!”

Latest Leicester City news from LeicestershireLive as former striker Odsonne Edouard opens up on his difficult spell under Ruud van Nistelrooy

Odsonne Edouard has taken aim at former Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, insisting that “being a great striker doesn’t make you a great manager.”

The French forward joined Leicester on loan from Crystal Palace but endured a difficult spell at the King Power Stadium, struggling to make an impact under the Dutchman.

Van Nistelrooy’s tenure ended with Leicester’s relegation from the Premier League, and the club is now seeking promotion under Martí Cifuentes.

Edouard departed Leicester in the summer, securing a move to RC Lens for an undisclosed fee. Since returning to France, he has rediscovered his form, scoring three goals in his first five league appearances.

Speaking to L’Équipe, Edouard reflected on his unhappy experience in England and was blunt about his relationship with van Nistelrooy.

“The Premier League is indescribable. You have to live it to understand it,” he said. “But at Leicester, things went badly for me. I didn’t get along with Van Nistelrooy.

I spent seven months without playing. Being a great striker doesn’t necessarily make you a great manager.”

During his loan spell, Edouard featured just six times for the Foxes, starting only once in a League Cup tie.

His lack of opportunities coincided with a dismal run of form for Leicester, which saw van Nistelrooy dismissed after only 27 matches in charge.
