Samu has netted nine goals in 11 matches this season, building on a 27-goal campaign last year.
A 6ft 4in powerhouse, Samu combines strength, finishing instinct, and creativity—ranking among Europe’s elite for passing accuracy, through balls, and goal-creating actions.
Analysts describe him as a complete forward capable of transforming Newcastle’s frontline. While Woltemade’s link-up play has impressed, Samu’s ruthlessness in front of goal could offer a more direct and clinical edge.
If Newcastle manage to pair both strikers, Howe could strike a perfect balance—Woltemade’s finesse alongside Samu’s raw goal threat—offering a dynamic, long-term solution at number nine as the Magpies aim to climb the Premier League and make a mark in Europe.
