Everton set to prioritise striker signing in January as key target signals desire for Premier League return
David Moyes has already endured eight Premier League matches this season plagued by striker problems, highlighting Everton’s urgent need for attacking reinforcements.

However, Everton are far from alone in their pursuit — several top-flight clubs are exploring similar options, and one target attracting interest from across Europe is now open to a Premier League move.
It has been suggested that David Moyes would be keen on signing Ivan Toney following the English striker’s recent spell in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ahli.
Toney’s future there has become uncertain, and according to TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook, the 29-year-old is now ready to return to England’s top flight, with multiple clubs tracking his situation.
“I keep coming back to Ivan Toney for Tottenham,” Crook explained. “You look at what he did with Thomas Frank at Brentford.
I think he’d like to come back to the Premier League — financially it might be a difficult deal, but it looks a perfect fit for Spurs, either in January or next summer.”
While Crook believes Tottenham Hotspur would be an ideal destination, Toney could also represent a smart signing for Everton, who are in dire need of a reliable number nine.
If the striker does end up joining Spurs, however, it could trigger a domino effect in the January market.
A potential Toney move to north London could pave the way for Richarlison’s return to Everton.
The Brazilian forward is understood to be eager for a Goodison Park comeback — now renamed the Hill Dickinson Stadium — as he seeks regular minutes to secure a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad.
Although such a move would stretch Everton’s finances, it could become more realistic if Tottenham decide to cash in on Richarlison to balance the books following Toney’s arrival.
