West Ham United striker Niclas Fullkrug is reportedly exploring a move away from the club in the January transfer window, according to Sky Germany journalist Patrick Berger.
The German forward is said to be keen on ending his spell at the London Stadium this winter, with West Ham not expected to block his departure.
Meanwhile, Lucas Paqueta’s future at the club also remains uncertain.
The Hammers are believed to be open to all options regarding Fullkrug’s exit, including a potential loan or swap deal when the window opens.
Less than 18 months after joining from Borussia Dortmund, the 32-year-old is already considering a return to the Bundesliga as his preferred next destination.
Fullkrug has made just seven appearances for West Ham this season and has been sidelined for the last three Premier League matches due to injury.
He remains eager to revive his international career and is reportedly motivated by the prospect of earning a place in Germany’s 2026 World Cup squad.
Since arriving at West Ham on a four-year contract in August 2024, Fullkrug has featured 27 times and scored three goals.
His debut season in England was hampered by two serious injuries, restricting him to only six league starts.
Earning £113,000 per week, the striker has managed just two international appearances in the past year, both coming during the Nations League Finals in June.
This season, Fullkrug has started five Premier League matches, including two under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo, who succeeded Graham Potter in September.
Nuno recently celebrated his first victory as West Ham boss, overseeing a 3-1 win against Newcastle United at the London Stadium thanks to goals from Lucas Paqueta, Tomas Soucek, and an own goal by Sven Botman.
That triumph ended a seven-game winless streak and lifted the Hammers to 18th in the table, leaving them three points from safety.
However, with Fullkrug’s form and fitness concerns persisting, the German forward could now seek a fresh start elsewhere to reignite both his club and international career.
