Everton defender Vitalii Mykolenko has confirmed that his representatives will soon enter discussions with the club regarding a new contract, dismissing recent media “lies” suggesting he is unwilling to negotiate an extension.
The Ukrainian full-back joined Everton from Dynamo Kyiv in January 2022 and has since become a crucial member of the squad.

Mykolenko Confirms Everton Contract Talks
In an interview with Ukrainian journalist Viktor Vatsko, Mykolenko made it clear that he has no issues with negotiating a new contract and that discussions with the club are imminent.
He rejected reports claiming he was avoiding talks, branding them completely false.
“I don’t know where you read that. That I don’t want to negotiate with Everton is a complete lie because we just haven’t started talking yet. My agent will be speaking with Everton representatives soon.
I’m not thinking about it much because I love playing for this club. I really enjoy being here, and that’s what matters most to me. My family also feels comfortable living here,” said Mykolenko.
While his performances have occasionally been scrutinized since arriving at Goodison Park, successive managers have continued to trust him as their first-choice left-back.
Summer signing Adam Aznou was expected to provide competition, but Moyes has yet to give the Moroccan youngster any Premier League minutes.
Moyes’ faith in Mykolenko underlines his importance to the team, and the club will hope to secure his future before his contract runs out.
