TOTTENHAM IN SENSATIONAL MOVE TO SIGN WORLD CUP-WINNING SUPERSTAR GOALKEEPER AS VICARIO REPLACEMENT – THIS IS THE ULTIMATE UPGRADE THAT WILL SHOCK THE PREMIER LEAGUE! You won’t believe who Ange is targeting to replace Vicario… Spurs fans are losing their minds already!

Tottenham Hotspur have identified a leading candidate to take over from the under-pressure Guglielmo Vicario as their first-choice goalkeeper.

Guglielmo Vicario has found himself at the centre of controversy over the past week after being loudly booed by Tottenham supporters during their 2-0 loss to Fulham.

Despite the backlash, Thomas Frank has reiterated that the Italian remains his first-choice goalkeeper.

Even so, speculation continues to grow, with reports suggesting the 29-year-old could be heading back to Serie A.

Inter Milan are closely monitoring Vicario’s situation, and some outlets have gone as far as claiming that the keeper is open to the idea of a move to the San Siro.

Tottenham targeting Emi Martinez as potential Vicario successor

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Spurs have already begun to explore options for a possible replacement should Vicario depart.

The report states that Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez has emerged as the club’s preferred candidate.

The Argentine, who nearly secured a switch to Manchester United last summer, could attract interest from Tottenham in the upcoming transfer windows.

However, securing Martinez will not be straightforward. He signed a long-term contract at Villa Park just last year, tying him to the Midlands club until 2029.

Spurs also eyeing another Premier League goalkeeper

The links to Martinez follow British media claims earlier this week that Tottenham are also considering Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen.

TEAMtalk reported that Spurs have been impressed with the Dutchman’s performances at the Amex Stadium, placing him firmly on their shortlist.

But they are not alone in the chase. The same report noted that Chelsea have been long-time admirers of Verbruggen, while Bayern Munich also made enquiries about the 22-year-old during the summer window.
