West Ham United are exploring a January move for an “unbelievable” striker who is now pushing for a return to the Premier League.

The Hammers have become far more resilient since Nuno Espírito Santo took charge, losing only one of their last six Premier League fixtures.
However, Sunday’s draw with Brighton & Hove Albion left a sour taste. West Ham led deep into stoppage time, only for Georginio Rutter to strike a contentious late equaliser.

Claiming all three points against an in-form Brighton side would have been a statement result.
Even so, Jarrod Bowen once again shone, scoring his fourth league goal of the campaign while operating through the middle.
Callum Wilson made an impact from the bench too, setting up Bowen’s strike and taking his tally to five goal contributions this season.
Yet with Wilson’s contract expiring in the summer, West Ham are eager to reinforce their attacking options.
According to Hammers News, the club have revived their interest in Ivan Toney, with Nuno keen to bring the former Brentford talisman to the London Stadium in January.
West Ham previously looked into a deal for the striker after being impressed by his form during his time in England, and Toney is now eager to return to the Premier League as he targets a place at the 2026 World Cup.
That ambition may not be enough to force a move through, though.
The Al-Ahli forward’s sizeable wage demands remain a significant stumbling block, and there is doubt over whether West Ham can meet the financial requirements.

They sit inside the relegation zone and are two points from safety, making January reinforcements essential.
Toney’s track record suggests he could be exactly the kind of player to help drag the Hammers away from danger.
Across three Premier League seasons with Brentford, he delivered consistently outstanding attacking numbers and established himself as one of the league’s most reliable forwards.
Former Brentford boss Thomas Frank spoke glowingly when Toney left the club, remarking: “It’s been a pleasure working with Ivan over the last four years.
He has averaged more than one goal every two games, which is an unbelievable return.”
Given the seriousness of West Ham’s situation, securing high-calibre signings in January is vital — and Toney fits that profile perfectly, even if completing a deal may prove difficult.
