West Ham United are facing an urgent need to strengthen their attacking options, with Niclas Füllkrug edging closer to an exit from the London Stadium.

However, his output has dipped this term, with just two goals and one assist from 10 appearances so far, many of which have come from the substitutes’ bench.

While his quality is evident, questions remain over his consistency, particularly as he approaches his 29th birthday next year.

For many West Ham supporters, the most concerning aspect is not Dovbyk himself, but the wider recruitment picture.

Almost daily, a new attacking name is linked with the club, each offering different attributes.

This steady stream of options gives the impression that the club’s hierarchy has yet to fully settle on a clear, defined target.
