He noted that Dibling is clearly lacking minutes at Everton and believes Preston could offer an ideal environment for him to develop.

King also pointed out Moyes’ longstanding connection to North End, where he began his managerial career, as well as the fact that he still resides in Preston, suggesting a move would be straightforward to arrange.

According to King, such a loan could prove mutually beneficial for both clubs until the end of the season.

Dibling has made just one Premier League start so far this campaign, underlining the need for more consistent involvement.

Last season, he impressed with 38 appearances for Southampton, and a step back into the Championship could allow him to rediscover that form.

With Preston currently performing strongly and already housing Everton loanee Harrison Armstrong, the setup could suit Dibling perfectly.
