West Ham United are preparing for a busy January transfer window after their damaging 2–1 home defeat to Nottingham Forest left their Premier League survival hopes hanging by a thread.

Other loan options have been explored, while Manchester City’s Stefan Ortega has emerged as a possible opportunity, with his contract nearing expiry.
Traore remains the most eye-catching target. Despite concerns about his end product, his pace and power have earned praise within West Ham squad.
