Leeds United

LEEDS UNITED ON THE VERGE OF LANDING A £40M PREMIER LEAGUE SUPERSTAR IN THE MOST AMBITIOUS DEAL IN CLUB HISTORY! This game-changing signing could be their BIGGEST, BOLDEST, and most INSANE capture since the legendary Stach… and it might just EXPLODE them back into the Premier League! Fans are already LOSING THEIR MINDS… Is this the one that changes EVERYTHING?! What do you think — deal of the century or total madness?

Leeds United have been dealt a significant blow after midfielder Anton Stach suffered an ankle injury during their FA Cup quarter-final victory over West Ham United.

The German was forced off in the first half following a challenge from Max Kilman that went unpunished.

He is now expected to miss the remainder of April, sidelining him for crucial fixtures in the club’s relegation battle before a likely return in May.

Stach has been outstanding since arriving from Hoffenheim for £17.4m, contributing four goals and three assists while also excelling defensively.

His absence leaves manager Daniel Farke with a major challenge as Leeds aim to secure Premier League survival without one of their most reliable performers.

Looking ahead, Leeds are already planning for the summer transfer window. Reports suggest they are targeting Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford in an ambitious move.

Currently second choice behind Gianluigi Donnarumma, Trafford is believed to be open to a transfer in search of regular first-team football, though competition for his signature is expected. City are said to value him at around £40m.

Trafford could prove to be Leeds’ most impactful signing since Stach. Despite limited league appearances, he has impressed in high-profile matches, including standout displays against Liverpool and Arsenal, where he kept clean sheets, made nine saves, and even denied Mohamed Salah from the penalty spot. His ability to outperform expected goals metrics highlights his quality.

His earlier form with Burnley was equally impressive, recording 29 clean sheets and preventing 12.82 expected goals during a dominant Championship campaign.

In contrast, Leeds’ current goalkeepers have underperformed statistically, conceding more than expected.

This gap underlines why Trafford is seen as a major upgrade. If Leeds avoid relegation and complete the signing, he could immediately strengthen their defence and provide long-term stability.

Much like Stach, Trafford has already demonstrated he can perform at the highest level, making him a potentially transformative addition for the club.
