BOMBSHELL TRANSFER ALERT! Leeds United in DESPERATE HUNT for Explosive 23-Year-Old Superstar – Farke Issues ULTIMATUM: “We ABSOLUTELY MUST Sign Him or We’re DOOMED!”** (Whispers in the boardroom suggest this could be the signing that changes EVERYTHING at Elland Road…)
Leeds United Monitoring Lukas Hornicek as Goalkeeper Search Continues

Leeds United are continuing their search for a new goalkeeper ahead of the 2026/27 season, with several names under consideration as Daniel Farke looks to strengthen a position that proved problematic during the previous campaign.
One of the goalkeepers being monitored is 23-year-old stopper Adam Hornicek.
While he is not currently regarded as Leeds’ leading target, the Slovakian remains on a shortlist of potential options being assessed by the club’s recruitment team as preparations for the summer transfer window gather pace.
Farke has made it clear that bringing in a new goalkeeper is among his priorities for the upcoming season.
That remains the case despite ongoing discussions with experienced shot-stopper Karl Darlow over a contract extension that would keep him at Elland Road beyond the summer.
Leeds are also keeping a close eye on Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Dmytro Riznyk, who is viewed as another viable candidate.
Club officials are continuing their evaluation process and are determined to explore a range of possibilities before deciding on their preferred target.
Although improvements are being sought across the squad, the goalkeeping department is one area where Leeds feel significant reinforcement is required.
Issues between the posts contributed to an inconsistent 2025/26 campaign, prompting the club to place extra emphasis on finding a reliable long-term solution.
Football Insider recently reported that negotiations with Darlow are progressing as Leeds attempt to avoid losing the Welsh international on a free transfer.
Since replacing Lucas Perri midway through the season, Darlow has provided stability and experience, earning the trust of both Farke and his teammates.
Perri, who arrived from Lyon following Leeds’ promotion to the Premier League, struggled to establish himself as a dependable first-choice option.
His difficulties convinced Farke that additional quality is needed in the position if Leeds are to compete more effectively next season.
Despite Darlow’s positive contribution, the veteran goalkeeper is not viewed as the long-term answer due to his age.
As a result, Leeds intend to recruit a younger first-choice goalkeeper who can become the club’s established number one for years to come.
Hornicek and Riznyk remain firmly under consideration, but Leeds are determined to keep their options open and continue assessing alternative candidates before making a final decision.
Meanwhile, questions have emerged regarding Farke’s own future at the club.
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown recently suggested he would not be surprised if the German chose to leave before the start of next season.
According to Brown, Farke expects significant backing from the club’s hierarchy after guiding Leeds through a challenging campaign.
He believes the manager has earned the right to demand further investment and warned that the 49ers ownership group must match his ambition.
Failure to do so, Brown argued, could leave Leeds facing an uncertain and potentially difficult situation regarding their manager’s future.
