Largie Ramazani's Leeds United future becomes increasingly clear after pre-season squad omission

Largie Ramazani’s future at Leeds United appears increasingly uncertain after he was left out of Daniel Farke’s 30-man squad for the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.

The 25-year-old was one of the most significant omissions when the travelling squad was announced on the club’s official website on Tuesday.

Joe Gelhardt, Max Wober and Jack Harrison were also excluded, while Noah Okafor missed out after only recently returning from World Cup duty.

Unlike Okafor, however, Ramazani’s absence is widely viewed as a strong indication that he is edging closer to a permanent exit from Elland Road.

The winger spent last season on loan at Valencia, where he enjoyed a productive spell despite limited opportunities.

He scored six goals and registered two assists in 29 appearances, although only seven of those came as a starter.

Reports last week claimed Ramazani is desperate to leave Leeds and is keen to complete a permanent move back to Valencia after enjoying his time in Spain.

According to the latest update from Graham Smyth of the Yorkshire Evening Post, a transfer now looks increasingly likely.

The report states that Ramazani, who remains a popular figure within the Leeds dressing room, is almost certain to leave the club before the transfer window closes.

Discussions have already taken place between Leeds and Valencia regarding a permanent deal, although the two clubs have yet to reach a final agreement.

Even so, the expectation is that Ramazani will move on this summer as both sides continue negotiations.

Ramazani is not the only player expected to depart before the new campaign.

Leeds travelled to the United States on Tuesday for pre-season fixtures against Wrexham, Sunderland and Liverpool without Gelhardt, Wober and Harrison, all of whom spent last season out on loan.

Their exclusions suggest they are no longer part of Farke’s long-term plans. Gelhardt has attracted interest from newly-promoted Hull City, while Wober’s next destination remains uncertain.

Meanwhile, reports have indicated that negotiations between Leeds and MLS side New England Revolution over Harrison have encountered complications, delaying a potential transfer.

Although there is still time remaining in the transfer window, Leeds are expected to prioritise offloading the quartet as they continue reshaping the squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
