Newcastle United

BREAKING: Romano drops BOMBSHELL – Newcastle are now DESPERATELY calling for £30m SUPERSTAR forward who’s “LIGHT YEARS” above Wissa & Woltemade!

Newcastle United head into the new Premier League season under pressure to improve after a disappointing 12th-place finish last term.

The Magpies have lost several influential players, including Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes, leaving major questions over the strength of Eddie Howe’s former squad and the direction of the team under Matthias Jaissle.

Much of the attention has focused on Newcastle’s midfield, but their attack is another area of concern.

With Gordon now at Barcelona and Alexander Isak having previously joined Liverpool, the club have lost significant goals and creativity.

Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade are therefore expected to take on greater responsibility this season.

Woltemade enjoyed an impressive start after arriving for a club-record £69million, displaying excellent movement, technical ability and finishing.

However, his form declined after Christmas, when he managed just one Premier League goal.

Although his 25% conversion rate showed his quality in front of goal, he averaged only one shot per match.

Wissa endured an even more difficult campaign.

Signed after Newcastle missed out on several attacking targets, the DR Congo international suffered an injury before making his debut and never rediscovered the form that made him so effective at Brentford.

He scored only once in the league and missed six big chances.

With Gordon gone, Newcastle cannot afford another season of limited attacking output.

Their replacement for the England international is 20-year-old Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Toure, meaning the club could still benefit from adding an experienced forward.

Christopher Nkunku has emerged as a potential solution.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Newcastle are pursuing the AC Milan forward, although the Frenchman is reportedly prioritising a possible return to RB Leipzig. Nkunku could be available for around £30million.

The 28-year-old struggled for consistency during his time at Chelsea and started only 15 Serie A matches last season, but he still produced seven goals and three assists.

His versatility, creativity and previous Bundesliga record make him an intriguing option.

Before joining Chelsea, Nkunku registered 58 goals and 29 assists across two seasons in Germany.

If Newcastle can revive that level of performance, he could become the attacking talisman they desperately need.

Relying solely on Wissa and Woltemade would be a significant gamble. Bringing in Nkunku could give Newcastle the quality, flexibility and star power needed to avoid another disappointing campaign.
