In recent months, Bayern Munich’s search for a new head coach has become more challenging.
Their initial top candidate, Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso, unexpectedly decided against leaving his current position and soon committed to a long-term future with the new Bundesliga champions.
Since then, Julian Nagelsmann, Ralf Ragnick, Oliver Glasner, and Roger Schmidt have all declined the opportunity to manage Bayern Munich. Additionally, Unai Emery, Roberto De Zerbi, and Julen Lopetegui have confirmed they are not interested in replacing Thomas Tuchel.
Moreover, another potential candidate can now be ruled out. According to Bild, Bayern Munich have decided not to appoint Zinedine Zidane as their next head coach.
Thus, the search continues for Bayern Munich and Director of Sport Max Eberl, with the pressure mounting to resolve the situation.
Despite the challenges, Eberl remains confident that the right candidate will be found. He told Sky Germany on Saturday, “We will find a good solution. A very good friend of mine always says: The best comes last.”
