Moussa Dembele Trolls Rangers After Celtic’s Dramatic Derby Victory!

In a cheeky dig at Celtic’s fierce Glasgow rivals, former Hoops striker Moussa Dembele couldn’t resist taking to social media to celebrate his old team’s latest triumph. The French forward, who now plies his trade for Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League, aimed a playful jab at Rangers following Celtic’s dramatic derby victory.

Adam Idah clinched the win for Brendan Rodgers’ side with a last-minute goal at Hampden, bringing his tally to two derby goals. The 90th-minute strike sent Celtic fans into a frenzy and secured a double for the Bhoys, much to the delight of their supporters.

Dembele, known for his prolific scoring record against Rangers during his time at Celtic, joined in the celebrations on social media site X. The 27-year-old, who netted seven goals against Rangers during his two-year stint at Celtic Park, departed the club in 2018 for a £20 million move to Lyon. His fondness for his former team and disdain for their arch-rivals was evident in his post.

He wrote: “Well done Bhoys! A double well deserved. Always on the winning side, and Rangers… I rather not say anything about them.”

Dembele’s comments quickly went viral, with fans reveling in his continued loyalty to Celtic and his lighthearted swipe at Rangers. His playful jibe adds to the rich tapestry of the Old Firm rivalry, highlighting the deep-seated passion and competitive spirit that characterizes encounters between these historic clubs.

As Dembele continues his career in Saudi Arabia, his heart clearly remains with the Hoops, and his latest comments are sure to endear him further to the Celtic faithful while undoubtedly ruffling a few feathers at Ibrox.
