‘Agreement Reached’ – Fabrizio Romano: Leeds Complete Paperwork for Loan Departure

Leeds United and Everton have reportedly agreed on a second loan deal for winger Jack Harrison, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano on his official X account on June 21. The clubs are currently in the process of exchanging documents to finalize the agreement.

News surfaced recently that Everton had initiated discussions with Leeds regarding Harrison’s return to Goodison Park following his successful stint last season. Under the terms, Everton will cover Harrison’s entire salary during the loan period, although Leeds will not receive a loan fee.

The departure of Harrison, while anticipated, comes with a frustrating caveat for Leeds, who had hoped for a financial return on the loan deal. Typically, Premier League clubs are expected to pay a fee in addition to covering the player’s wages for such arrangements.

Leeds finds themselves in this situation due to contractual terms agreed upon shortly before relegation from the Premier League. The club now hopes Harrison’s performance in the upcoming season will bolster his market value for a potential future sale.

Harrison’s previous season at Goodison Park was a mixed bag, but his regular inclusion under Sean Dyche demonstrated his value to Everton. Given their financial circumstances, Everton appears delighted to secure Harrison’s services for another season.
