Journalist: West Ham and Other PL Clubs in Contact to Sign Inter Miami Star with 7 International Caps

Report: West Ham and Other Premier League Clubs Contact Inter Miami About Midfielder Diego Gomez, Says Bruno Pont

ABC Radio journalist Bruno Pont reported on 15 July via X that an Italian club is also interested in securing the services of Diego Gomez, the 7-cap Paraguayan international.

Gomez, 21, plays regularly for Inter Miami, the same team as Lionel Messi, and has scored three goals and provided three assists in 15 games, despite being a midfielder.

Pont wrote: “West Ham and other Premier clubs asked about the Paraguayan Diego. An Italian club also appears that is interested.”

West Ham Should Initiate Contact with Diego Gomez’s Representatives

The Hammers must now reach out to Gomez’s representatives to bolster their chances of signing him. His ability to win the ball high up the pitch and create chances for himself and others would provide a much-needed boost to the team’s attacking options.

Furthermore, his performances for Inter Miami and the Paraguayan national team demonstrate his maturity and game vision, which would benefit West Ham’s ambitions in the Premier League.

It remains to be seen how expensive a deal to sign him will be, as it won’t be easy to secure his transfer. While the Premier League is highly attractive, Inter Miami is building a brand and will not want to sell their best players.

It remains to be seen if the Hammers will make an official bid and try to convince him to leave the United States.
