Everton in Talks to Secure Next Summer Signing – Report

Everton in Talks with Napoli to Sign Playmaker Jesper Lindstrom This Summer

According to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio, Everton have initiated contacts with Napoli regarding the transfer of 24-year-old midfielder Jesper Lindstrom. Everton aim to sign him on loan with an option to buy next summer.

Aston Villa have also shown interest in Lindstrom, according to reports from Italy. However, it is uncertain if Villa will pursue the Danish midfielder this summer, as they are close to signing Amadou Onana from Everton.

Everton, facing the imminent departure of their key midfielder Onana, are looking to reinvest the transfer fee into strengthening their squad. While Lindstrom may not be a direct replacement for Onana, he would enhance the team’s depth and quality in the attacking midfield.

Everton are currently working on multiple deals, having already completed three signings, with more expected in the coming days. Lindstrom, who shone at Brondby and Eintracht Frankfurt, has struggled to replicate his form at Napoli. Everton must consider his lack of goals and assists when evaluating his potential £25 million transfer fee, as there are other quality players available in that price range.

In addition to Lindstrom, Everton are interested in Leeds United winger Wilfried Gnonto. The 20-year-old Italian, known for his pace and dribbling skills, has not yet received a formal offer from Everton. Gnonto has the potential to develop into an exceptional player.

Everton are also eyeing Montpellier defender Becir Omeragic and could make a formal move for him soon.

In summary, Everton are actively pursuing multiple targets, including Jesper Lindstrom and Wilfried Gnonto, as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
