According to the Italian outlet on 19 July (page 10), Everton are finalizing details of a deal for Jesper Lindstrom, which includes an initial loan and a £21 million option to buy next summer. The Danish international’s agent is working to reach an agreement.
Everton are close to securing Lindstrom, addressing their need for attacking reinforcements after a lackluster goal-scoring campaign. While their defense, under Sean Dyche, was one of the Premier League’s best, thanks to standout performances from Jarrad Branthwaite, the attack struggled. Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were the top scorers last season with just seven league goals each [FotMob], insufficient for a team aiming higher next season.
Having already signed Iliman Ndiaye, Everton are now focusing on Lindstrom, who would bring a different dynamic to the squad.
